ITI®-SIM
3.8
Specification of the Simulation Software
The simulation software ITI®-SIM requires Windows
NT/2000/XP. It is a 32 bit optimized software package with several libraries,
options, add-ons (extensions), interface links, etc. Thus the customer may
select his optimum software configuration dedicated to his applications.
The current release provides extremely high
performance due to an integrated compiled simulation solver.
Here you find a list of details and specifications of all ITI®-SIM
modules.

linear-elastic structure by a modal system,
interfac e to FEM (ANSYS®,
ASCII) and to the experminental modal analysis
-
Option "Natural Frequencies & Modes"
calculation of natural frequencies and corresponding
modes illustrated as normalized displacement or kinetic + potential
energy at every station of the system, automatic generation of Campbell

-
Interface / Library "SIM-Tools"
programming interface, integration of customer algoirthms
as UserDLLs (templates for C++);
also available as runtime version
-
Extension "ITI®-ORD 1.1"
order analysis in the time-frequency domain with 2D/3D
visualization
(waterfall, map)
-
Extension "ITI®-STAT 1.3"
(based
on ARLA®-SIMSTAT) steady-state simulation of drive systems (response functions like
torques calculated in the frequency domain), angle dependent periodical (harmonic)
excitation (as seen in reciprocating engines, compressors, propellers),
graphical analysis of all response curves (torques, angles, power loss)
depending on the speed; considering various damping methods

-
Extension "ITI®-Vis3D 2.2"
user-friendly animation of motions in the 3D domain, import of all ITI-SIM time signals and allocation to the 3D structures (INTEGRATED

Example (AVI file / 1.3 MB – presented by the Windows Media
Player):
Animation of a Backlash (Gear Rack)

Test Installation
On a special customer request, ARLA offers a limited test version for
ITI-SIM within a limited time period. Ask for the conditions.
Customer ARLA®
Engineering Service
ARLA offers a customer service for ITI®-SIM related applications.
This engineering service may contain a special model generation support, or
other project related engineering jobs. Due to ARLA's know-how in a wide
industrial domain, you will get the best service for computer simulation
particularly for the solving of torsional vibrations in drive systems.
Further information are available on our special site
Engineering Services.
This is what a customer may get by ARLA dedicated to the ITI®-SIM
application:
- customer model generation (the customer may use such models later by
his own compatible ITI®-SIM version)
- creating customer macros (submodel structures, optionally password
protected)
- Analysis tools for extended engineering works (like NVH analysis of
vehicle powertrains)
Training Courses and Workshops
Ask for our training courses which are usually customer dedicated (1-day
or 2-day courses). Further information on other
events (fairs, shows, conferences,
etc.) are available on a special ARLA site.
