The ARLA Shift & Engage Lever is a fail-safe lever for precise shifting with an automatic click-in. The lever is operated by a single hand (pulling or pushing). Due to the high reliability and the design concept, the lever is secure against shock and vibrations and also insensitive to dirt, dust, and oil. Special applications are found in speed change gears, clutches, valves, valve actuators, mechanically controlled mechanisms and also in production lines, printing machines, cranes, conveying machines, agricultural machinery and special-purpose vehicles (trucks).

There are different models depending on the lock technology. Model 100 is the pin-lock type (Model 200 as a special option with a double-acting feature in two levels). All required hole positions are drilled during the final assembly by the customer. Alternatively, the click-in can be achieved by a slot-lock (Model 300). A sensitive shifting realized by a tooth-lock system for 360° shiftings is available in the Model 400.
